Regular Season Round 46: Anyang - Suwon KT 85-88

Sixth-ranked Anyang (23-29) gave a tough game to second ranked Sonicboom (32-20) on Monday. The visitors from Busan managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. Suwon KT outrebounded Anyang 40-29 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Yungi Ha (203-1999) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Deonte Burton (193-1994, college: Iowa St.) responded with 21 points and his fellow American import power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sonicboom have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory Suwon KT went down to third position due to points difference. Anyang at the other side keeps the sixth place with 29 games lost. Suwon KT are looking forward to face KoGas (#5) in Inchon in the next round. Anyang will play at home against the league's leader Seoul Knights and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
